Nearing completion — final commissioning soon
Baagbon Village has long struggled with access to clean water. Women and children walked miles each day to fetch water from unsafe sources, exposing themselves to preventable diseases.
Today, that story is changing. Sponsored by a church in London with its headquarters in Nigeria, this borehole project marks the 25th anniversary of the church’s establishment in England — a profound statement that faith must translate into real impact.
GGI International believes that African religious organisations should be doing more of this — investing directly in the socioeconomic life and living conditions of rural areas and slums — instead of setting up huge cathedrals and gigantic mosques without transforming the lives of the people they serve.
Each project is a story of transformation. Browse them all — or filter by category, status, or location.

Hundreds of underprivileged students have received full scholarships, free computer training, and mentoring through our flagship educational initiative.
Empowering school leavers with practical skills in photography, videography, and other trades — turning them into self-reliant professionals.
Grassroots engagement with rural communities to understand their real needs — bridging the gap between vision and practical intervention.
Every GGI project serves one of these five strategic goals — each designed to transform Africa from the grassroots up.
Use media to launch massive re-education and enlightenment campaigns that renew, reformat, and gear the African mindset for global impact.
Establish world-class educational institutions that bring 21st century knowledge and innovation to the African mind.
Organise all and every kind of training to help the fingers, legs, and the entire African body discover, develop, and release personal gifts, talents, and native abilities for global impact.
Spur a massive back-to-farm campaign for all Africans, geared towards mechanisation, modernisation, agro-processing, and the growth of our cottage industries.
Encourage Africans at home and in the Diaspora to provide diverse facilities, and challenge African governments at local, regional, and national levels to do more.
One of our flagship educational projects — a school that has quietly transformed hundreds of young lives through scholarships, mentorship, and godly values.
Through Grassroots Growth Initiative International, hundreds of students have received full scholarships, free computer training, essential learning materials, and ongoing mentorship at Grace & Diadem College, Apata Ibadan.
But the impact goes far beyond academics. Our alumni testify that the school gave them direction, godly values, and a foundation that continues to shape who they are today.
The most powerful measure of our work isn’t in statistics — it’s in the lives that have been transformed.
My name is Ogunwale Bamidele, an Architect and professional photographer in Apata (Famous Photography). I came in contact with Barrister Olonade in 1999, exactly 3 years after I passed out from Secondary School.
I was working as a class teacher in a village at Olodo, Abeokuta. He asked me to bring my load, quit the teaching work, and join him in his office. I did as he said by faith. Fortunately for me, I entered the office when a program was going on called STEP (School Leavers Training/Employment Program).
I developed interest in Photography. I was trained in photography and videography. By the grace of God, today, my achievements in and through the photography business are a testimony to the seed that was sown in my life.
My name is Emmanuel Ayomide Kristiyefunmi. I am a university graduate and an old boy of Grace & Diadem College Apata Ibadan.
I not only had the rare privilege of a scholarship from Grassroots Growth Initiative International while in the school, but the Director and visioneer Barr Segun Olonade secured a free computer training institute for me immediately after secondary school.
When I look at where I am today, I realize that my journey into the tech world wasn’t just about my own effort — it was about a seed sown into my life by this father figure. I am where I am today because Barrister Olonade didn’t just see me as a student; he took me as his son. At a time when I needed direction and tools to succeed, he provided me with a laptop.
My time at Diadem College remains one of the most defining periods of my life. I did not just get an excellent academic foundation — I also received training in godly values which continues to shape my approach to life and living today.
Organising a GGI sensitization and meeting with the Bricklayers Association in Orita Faaji was an opportunity to see development from the perspective of the people. We heard what their needs were, their expectations from the government, etc. It was an opportunity that proved that interaction with the people at the grassroots is one of the best ways to transform society.
The Bakatari outreach was one where I had to be. I realized that it is so easy to live in the bubbles of our own lives, especially in the city, without understanding how much needs to be done.
GGI leadership believes strongly there is one simple solution to achieving many of the above laudable goals. This passion gave birth to Good Governance Nigeria (GGN) — an unregistered political advocacy group with the sole purpose of raising quality visionary leaders and supporting them to not just win elections, but to invest into the seven goals above when they get into office.
